Exploring Notable Pinoy Graves



Come join me on the tour, let's visit the graves of the famous people here in Loyola Memorial Park in Marikina.

1) Nida Blanca, Dorothy Guinto Jones (January 6, 1936 – November 7, 2001), popularly known as Nida Blanca, was a Filipino actress and comedian.

Cause of Death: died from murder, beating, and stabbing 13 times in her car's back seat in the Atlanta Centre parking lot in Greenhills.

2. Miriam Defensor Santiago,  was a Filipino scholar, academic, lawyer, judge, author, and stateswoman who served in all three branches of the Philippine government (judicial, executive, and legislative). 

Cause of death: lung cancer

3) German Molina Moreno also known as Kuya Germs and dubbed as "The Master Showman", was a Filipino television host, presenter, actor, comedian, talent manager, producer, writer, and director.

Cause of death: cardiac arrest

4) Juan Marasigan Feleo, popularly known as Johnny Delgado was a Filipino actor, comedian, and writer who worked on television and movies.

Cause of death:  lymphoma.

5) Patrocinio Decano Abad known as  Corazon Noble was a Filipino actress. Before World War II, Corazon starred in such films as Tarhata, Balatkayo, Anak ng Pare, Pasang Krus, Dalisay, Ang Magsasampaguita, Bahag-Hari and Ang Tagala. In the early ’80s, she received the Walang Kupas Award along with other screen immortals.

Cause of death:  died due to pneumonia and cardiac arrest.

6) Julius Angel Abad Ilagan was a Filipino actor. He hosted Stop, Look and Listen and starred in My Son, My Son and Goin' Bananas, and starred and participated in a number of movies.

Cause of Death: Motorcycle accident, severe head injury

7) Ramon Artiaga Zamora was a Filipino film actor best known for his leading roles in local martial arts films and action movies of the 1970s. He was popularly dubbed as the "Bruce Lee of the Philippines".

Cause of death: Heart attack

8) Maria Josefa Cruz better known by her screen name Matimtiman Cruz, was a Filipina radio personalityactress and comedian.

9) Amparo Robles Custodio-Moyaknown professionally as Chicháy, was a Filipina comedian and actress. Her short and stocky stature, scratchy voice, and prematurely-aged appearance allowed her to portray grandmothers while only in her thirties.

10) Francis Michael Durango Magalona  also known as Francis M., was a Filipino rapper, singer, songwriter, television personality, actor, and entrepreneur. He is an influential figure in Pinoy hip hop.

Cause of Death:   leukemia 

11) Richard Reyes,   professionally known as Richie D'Horsie , was a Filipino actor and comedian.

Cause of death: complications brought about by diabetes, kidney failure and brain stroke

12) Georgie Quizon was born as Georgie Vera Quizon. He was an actor, known for Stariray (1981), Darna at ang Babaing Tuod (1965) and Mokong (1978). 

13)Julie Pearl Apostol Postigo better known by her stage name Julie Vega, was a Filipino actress, singer and commercial model. She remains very popular in her native Philippines

Cause of Death:  cardiac arrest secondary to bronchopneumonia. 

14) Joey Gosiengfiao was a Filipino movie director, well known for the campy box-office hits he directed.

cause of death: died  after suffering from his sixth heart attack on his 66th birthday 

15) Arvin Impuesto Jimenez known mononymously as Tado, was a Filipino comedian, actor, radio personality, businessman, published author and activist.

cause of death: died in an accident when a GV Florida Transport bus fell off a road in Sitio Paggang, Talubin, BontocMountain Province in the Philippines

1) Rosauro Daniel Roque, Boy Roque was a Filipino actor and stuntman. known for Cain at Abel (2018), Ang huling henya (2013) and 10000 Hours (2013). He died on April 10, 2019 in Phillipines.

Cause of death: Heart failure

2) Vigildo Quezon T. Babilonia was a Filipino basketball player in the Philippine Basketball Association.

Cause of death:  embolus (pulmonary) blood clot rupture.

3) Dennis Magloyuan Regino known professionally as April Boy Regino  was a Filipino singer, songwriter, comedian and actor who popularized ballads such as "Paano ang Puso ko", "Umiiyak ang Puso ko't Sumisigaw" and "Di ko Kayang Tanggapin" in the 1990s and novelty songs such as "Ye Ye Vonnel"

Cause of death:  chronic kidney disease and acute respiratory failure

4) Marcelo Ong, Ozu Ong was an actor, known for Diva (2010), Magpakailanman (2012) and I Dare You (2011).

Cause of death: Gun shot wound
